The Story: Streamlining High-Stakes Information
I was commissioned to transform a dense, 4-hour internal workshop into a high-retention digital training archive for CT Defense. The challenge was managing a massive volume of raw, multi-camera footage filled with technical pauses and conversational “fluff.”
My goal was to act as a precision editor—distilling the content into a professional series that respects the employee’s time while maintaining 100% of the core educational value. I restructured the entire 240-minute recording into a modular, 9-part “Sales I” course designed for maximum focus.
My Approach: Precision Engineering for Education
Strategic Distillation: I reduced the total runtime from 4 hours to 2 hours 20 minutes (a 42% reduction), aggressively cutting mistakes and redundancies to improve the overall rhythm.
Custom Brand Interface: I designed a proprietary “boxed-in” layout and background system based on the CT Defense style guide to manage on-screen clutter and multiple camera angles.
Information Design: I re-typed and animated complex tables and technical concepts into high-fidelity motion graphics, replacing low-quality source text to ensure total clarity.
Modular Architecture: I organized the content into 9 logical chapters, ensuring no single video exceeded 24 minutes to prevent learner fatigue and optimize information retention.
Technical Polish: I balanced and normalized audio levels across various microphones and speakers, ensuring a consistent, professional listening experience across the entire series.
The Result
A polished, permanent corporate asset that transitioned from a “recorded meeting” into a premium training library. By saving viewers 100 minutes of watch time and implementing thousands of precision cuts, the final series serves as a high-speed, “zero-mistake” roadmap for the company’s internal growth.
