I never planned on knowing the difference between a mucus plug and a magic trick, but here we are.

It started with Ruth Castro. One project. One “Hey Emir, can you edit this quick video?” Six months later, I’m neck-deep in contractions, dilation charts, breastfeeding myths, and more placenta angles than any sane man should ever witness. While my friends were gaming at 2 a.m., I was fine-tuning color curves on umbilical cord close-ups like some kind of sleep-deprived birth doula with Adobe Premiere.

At some point, I realized I wasn’t just editing videos — I was absorbing them. Osmosis. Brainwashing. Call it what you want. I knew every stage of labor. I could recite the golden hour benefits faster than the GPU could render. I was correcting audio while shouting, “No, that’s not how oxytocin works!”

And because Ruth is basically a wizard in scrubs, I edited everything: pregnancy tips, breastfeeding guides, hospital hacks, pelvic floor secrets. By month four, I could’ve passed the midwife exam out of spite.

So yes — I, Emir Dolo, video-editor by trade, have become an accidental pregnancy expert. Not because I wanted to… but because I spent half a year living in a cinematic universe filled with babies, bump shots, contractions, and high-definition cervixes. And honestly? I kind of love it.
